Crown & Feather was born from a love of travel, tradition, and timeless style. As military families, we’ve had the privilege of living all over the world, and one thing has always stood out to us—hats. They transcend cultures, tell stories, and serve as a defining feature of personal style. Whether in the high altitudes of Machu Picchu or the heart of the South, hats have always left a lasting impression.
With 19 years of service in the Army, Rachel has embraced a life of adventure and change. Princess, a lifelong hat enthusiast and designer, has always understood the power of a well-crafted brim. Rooted in families of service—Rachel’s husband retired in 2020, and Princess’s husband is preparing to retire after 30 years—it felt like the right time to plant our roots in Huntsville and build something that reflects both our love of community and our commitment to individuality.
Crown & Feather isn’t just about fashion—it’s about self-expression and empowerment. We believe that families are the foundation of the community, and community is the foundation of everything else. A simple hat isn’t just an accessory—it’s a symbol of who you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going.
Inspired by the regal elegance of royalty, we bring a modern twist to a classic tradition. Like the noble women of history who wore crowns to symbolize their strength and presence, Princess brings that royal influence into every design, creating hats that crown the wearer in confidence and purpose. Rachel, a Georgia peach born and raised, and Princess, a proud Texan of Korean heritage—our roots are as diverse as the styles we craft.

It’s a nod to timeless Southern charm, with a touch of Bridgerton-inspired elegance. Our mobile hat bar serves a variety of events and makes for a truly unique, memorable experience for your guests! We love to bring a touch of creativity and fun to Corporate Events, Conferences, Fundraisers & Galas; Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Bachelorette Parties; Team-Building Events, Birthday Bashes, ‘Galentines’ Day; Wine Night; and other special events hosted by local bars, breweries, and boutiques!
